A group of new Ladies were treated to a free taster 3 hr golf session at Three Rivers Golf & Country Club organised by Sarah Bennett the Head Professional and assisted by Lucy Clark of Chelmsford.

Aaron Jessup from St Andrews Primary School in Weeley won this year's 2010 Tri-golf Final staged at TTC Upper section.

The first of 5 County Academy Programme Talent days took place on Saturday at Stoke by Nayland GC. Over 30 juniors participated in a series of skills tests with the hope of securing a place on a winter's coaching programme.

The Essex Golf Partnership is organising 5 Junior Talent ID days, taking place across the county, between the 4th and 12th September. The most talented boys and girls selected, will be invited to take part in a tailored coaching programme to help them develop and improve their golfing skills.

Juniors representing Clacton, Three Rivers and Braintree golf clubs recently participated in the inaurgural SE Regional National Skills Finals.

Saturday 11 September, Stoke by Nayland Golf Club is offering free golf lessons to anyone wishing to have a go - adults or juniors. Three sessions are taking place at 9am, 11am and 2pm.

As a result of the two official National Challenge Events held at Three Rivers Golf & Country Club between April and July three junior members finished in the top 3 in Essex within their age category and will progress to the South East Regional Final on the 3rd August at Chesfield Downs.Right Jordan Minot and left Tom Shuttelwood shown. The North West Essex Schools Partnership held the finals of its Tri-Golf coaching program at Braintree College on 30th June. The program, sponsored by The Golf Foundation, introduces young boys and girls from local primary schools to golf using youngster-friendly equipment designed specifically for that purpose.

Stoke by Nayland will host a European Challenge Tour event, The English Challenge on
Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 July. The Essex Golf Partnership with the team of PGA Professionals at the club will be offering a series free taster sessions and shortgame clinics for everyone - juniors, adults and disabled people. Come along have a go and watch our budding professionals in action on the course.

The Essex Golf Partnership is taking it's inflatable golf net to the Tendring Show on Saturday 10 July. All beginners welcome and first class coaching will be provided PGA Professionals Tom Hide and Scott Rusbridge. Come and have a go...it's free. We'll also have information and offers for local clubs and courses, should you feel inspired by your experience to have another go.
