A great team effort from Past Captain Peter Cross, Hon Secretary David Wallbank, Junior Organiser Lorraine Doy and the team of PGA Pros headed up by David March and Steve Cardy (all pictured) ensured that Regiment Way is now nationally recognised as a safe and beginner friendly facility and can now be considered as a centre of excellence in Essex for all golfers.

A very warm welcome to Jeanne Nokes who has recently joined our team as volunteer Marketing & Communications Officer. Jeanne brings a wealth of London and New York ad agency experience and is a member at Frinton Golf Club. Jeanne will drive awareness of the Partnership and promote our many activities and initiatives.

Congratulations to Clacton girls Chloe Rose (L) and Lily Rendell (R) who have just won the National Skills Challenge National Finals for their respective age groups.

Congratulations to four Clacton-on-Sea juniors, each qualifying through to the National Finals of the National Skills Challenge at Woodhall Spa on 10th September. Orsett Golf Club proudly acccepts their GolfMark Award from County Development Officer, Helen Tarttelin. "Orsett, a traditional club, has worked hard to achieve this nationally recognised accreditation and is now the 20th club in Essex to do so. Their budding cadet membership is reaping the rewards, thanks to the enthusiasm of Club Director and Junior Organiser, Mark Wright" said Helen.

Mighty Masters Free Golf Afternoon for Junior beginners and their parents held Thursday 14 April 2011 at Epping Golf Course.

We have recently invested in a great new inflatable net, which can be used anywhere. We shall be using this during the summer at various shows, but as the picture demonstrates (with Coastal Golf at Colchester United football club recently)....we're happy to support any golf facility with taster sessions.
